Understanding the Texas LTC Cost
The cost of getting a Texas License to Carry (LTC) is one of the most common questions new shooters ask. Many people in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend want to know what they should expect before signing up for training. The good news is that Texas LTC pricing is simple once you understand what is included and what varies from instructor to instructor.
At South Texas Shooting & Safety School, we focus on clear pricing, strong training, and a safe learning environment for new shooters, women, seniors, and anyone who wants to carry with confidence. Because LTC training is required by Texas law, knowing the cost helps you plan your path toward responsible handgun carry.
Average Cost of Texas LTC Training
Across Texas, the average cost of an in‑person LTC class ranges from $65 to $125. Prices change based on instructor experience, range fees, class size, and whether the course is taught inside a gun shop or by an independent instructor.

- Low end: $60–$75
- Most common: $80–$100
- High end: $110–$125
- Range fees: Often not included and may add $10–$25
These numbers help you see how your local options compare and what you receive for your investment.
